Their August wedding was filled with romance, elegance, and artistic touches reminiscent of a Monet painting. The day began with Melissa and Henry’s heartfelt ceremony at a nearby church, where they exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. As you can see, Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Middletown, Connecticut is beautiful. The atmosphere was filled with love and emotion as they made their lifelong commitment to each other. After the ceremony, guests made their way to the stunning Wadsworth Mansion for an unforgettable evening of celebration. The hydrangeas at Wadsworth Mansion were in full bloom, showcasing beautiful white and pink tones that added to the romantic atmosphere.
Inspired Details & Stunning Florals
Melissa looked absolutely radiant in her strapless wedding gown, which featured intricate floral appliqués across the bodice. Her long veil, adorned with the same floral details, flowed beautifully behind her, adding to her ethereal look. The combination of soft pastels, romantic textures, and elegant styling made for a picture-perfect bridal vision. Melissa’s bouquet was a delicate mix of pastels, perfectly complementing her bridesmaids’ mismatched dresses, which were tied together by their monochrome bouquets. I loved them all!
Melissa and Henry infused their wedding with painterly details. First, their invitation suite featured a gorgeous envelope liner. Later, their welcome sign and wedding cake carried artistic elements that echoed the same color palette. Melissa worked on these herself!

As always, the indoor / outdoor reception at Wadsworth Mansion is spectacular, of course. The outdoor dance floor is a unique element to the mansion. I especially love their outdoor twinkle lights and the views from the balcony upstairs. The bridal party kicked off the evening with a fun and energetic dance, setting the tone for a lively and joyful night. One of the most unique elements of the evening was the presence of Myra, a talented live painter, capturing the couple’s wedding on canvas. Watching her create art was truly a highlight of the evening.
