I can’t say enough beautiful words about Amy & Brandon’s Hudson House wedding in Jersey City. These two are the sweetest couple and I’m so happy that they had the perfect autumn weather for their outdoor ceremony overlooking New York City. Scroll on to read more about these two and to see their gorgeous day unfold!
Amy began the day getting ready at the Hyatt House in Jersey City, which worked out so beautifully because their corner suite had the biggest windows + best light for getting ready with her best girls. I love that both her mom and future mother in law both joined in with matching pajamas! Amy also had the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids and then her father. It was heartwarming to witness his reaction to both seeing his daughter on her wedding day and opening his special gift. It may have been the first tears of the day but definitely not the last!
I loved Amy and Brandon’s emotional first look at Liberty State Park. The sun was shining and even their pup was there to see the two of them on their wedding morning. I have so many favorite photos from their first look and portraits from around Liberty State Park. Amy and Brandon definitely have an abundance of friends and loved ones, which is even more apparent by the size of their bridal party! I just love all of their group photos, especially around the train station and at their venue, Hudson House.
Liberty State Park was just a few minutes drive from their venue, so it’s the top location for portraits when planning a Hudson House wedding in Jersey City.
STUNNING HUDSON HOUSE WEDDING IN JERSEY CITY
Hudson House is one of the newest wedding venues in the area and Amy + Brandon were one of the first couples to get married there! Their outdoor ceremony overlooked the NYC Skyline on one of the prettiest days of the year. Even more, they wrote their own vows, which had each other in tears- as well as all the rest of us. You could feel the love and their ceremony was easily my favorite part of the day.
I couldn’t finish this blog without mentioning (at length!) their beautiful reception space setup. Wow! Olivia Howard Designs and outdid themselves with the florals and decor for Amy + Brandon’s reception. They had the most beautiful pastel centerpieces throughout the space and carefully selected blooms for their sweetheart table. I loved their minimalist seating chart reading ‘our favorite people’ and tall votives candles throughout the room. It all looked especially dreamy alongside their view of the pastel skies at sunset in Hudson House.
They had an incredible sunset on their wedding day and Hudson House has the BEST rooftop balcony for portraits overlooking the city at sunset. Guests were also able to see the sunset at cocktail hour at their indoor/ outdoor cocktail space.
I just loved celebrating these two on their perfect day! They danced the night away with family and friends, listened to beautiful speeches, and ate wedding cake too! It was such a fun day and I’m so happy to share these images!
Congratulations Amy + Brandon!
