I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Christina and Casey’s wedding day at the enchanting Bonnet Island Estate in Manahawkin, New Jersey.
The day started with Christina’s beautiful wedding details, including her blue & white invitation suite by Laurel Cove Creative. I love how her invitation ties so well to their blue and white fans and ginger jars throughout the day.
Getting Ready at Bonnet Island Estate:
Before their first look in the garden, Christina shared emotional first looks with her father and bridesmaids in the stunning on-site bridal suite at Bonnet Island Estate.
This wedding was a symphony of colors and cultures. The bridesmaids donned a charming array of mismatched pink dresses, each with its unique shade and some adorned with delicate floral patterns. A beautiful tribute to Casey’s half-Japanese heritage, bamboo folding fans and parasols kept guests cool on this scorching summer day. Christina wearing Casey’s mom’s kimono during cocktail hour was heartwarming!
Bonnet Island Estate Wedding Ceremony:
The venue itself is a treasure trove of picturesque spots, perfect for capturing those unforgettable moments. The blue barn served as the backdrop for their ceremony, adorned with beautifully arranged blue ginger jars by the Bonnet Island fireplace. These jars were a highlight throughout the wedding, adding a pop of color and style.
First Look & Bridal Party:
I loved everything about Christina’s dress choice and her mismatched bridesmaids dresses. It’s my new favorite wedding trend and the pinks are so beautiful. Casey had their wedding date embroidered on his sleeve too, the sweetest little groom detail!
A Heartfelt Reception:
The reception was an absolute delight. Heartfelt speeches from the father of the bride and the maid of honor resonated with everyone present, creating a warm and loving atmosphere. The band set the stage for a night of lively music and dancing, celebrating the start of Christina and Casey’s new journey as a married couple.
One of the most memorable moments was Christina’s dress change at the end of the evening, with the help of her new husband before reentering the reception!
Being part of Christina and Casey’s wedding day at Bonnet Island Estate was a true privilege. The vibrant colors, cultural touches, and heartfelt moments made this day truly special.
